The Healing Path Workshop Series at Trine University South Bend Education Center focuses on practical "next steps" in the healing journey. Youth Essay Contest
Entries Accepted: April 1-30, 2017
Open to all area middle and high school students, we hope our Memorial Day Youth Essay Contest will inspire young people in our community to learn more about the true meaning of this special day. All contest entries must be presented in a personal essay format with 500 to 525 words on the true meaning of Memorial Day. Six winners of this contest will share cash prizes totaling $1,600! Fall Cemetery Cleanup
The Fall Cleanup at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park will began Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015. Be careful not to place any new decorations until the cleanup is completed. Please join us this Veterans Day for our Official U.S. Flag Retirement Ceremony presented by Boy Scout Troop #122 at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway. Special guests include Sgt. Daniel Penix, U.S. Army Honor Guard, and the Rev. Dr. Gregory Timmons, retired U.S. Air Force. Refreshments immediately following the ceremonies.
